Yes, America does have a two-tiered justice system

Donald J. Trump has long bemoaned being the victim of a two-tiered justice system. During his civil fraud trial that went on for months, Trump complained about how unfairly the American justice system treated him. He repeatedly claimed that efforts to hold him accountable were evidence of political persecution. When he was initially arraigned, he said it was a “very sad day for America” and claimed the charges amounted to “persecution of a political opponent.

Now, after being found guilty by a jury of his peers of 34 counts of falsifying business records to influence the outcome of the 2016 presidential election, Trump is once again claiming to be the victim of a two-tiered justice system.

While I agree with Donald Trump that America has a two-tiered justice system, his claims to be a “victim” of the system and to have been treated more harshly than anyone in American history by the system are ridiculous.
