Bill Maher’s Surrender To Wannabe Dictator Won’t Be Forgotten
Comedian declares Trump ‘charming’ after a WH meeting
Many people of Jewish descent have a saying. That is, “Would you hide me?” This comes from generational trauma of grandparents and parents who lived through the Holocaust. The idea is a true friend would hide you during a fascist regime.
Well, it turns out comedian Bill Maher is not one of those people, which is ironic because he’s of Jewish descent.
Maher indicated he would collaborate with our fascist government when he recently had a White House meeting with President Donald Trump. Maher has been a long-time critic of Trump and hilariously skewered him in monologues. But after the meeting, Maher went on his show to sing Trump’s praises and claimed he was “charming.” Trump signed a list of Maher’s insults.
Maher spent about 10 minutes defending the president and explaining his meeting, which he compared to Nixon going to China. We all knew Maher had an ego, but damn…
I don’t know where Maher is going with his make peace with Trump act but it’s not working and he’s annoying what’s left of his fan base. Elon Musk could tell him a thing or two about what happens when you anger the people who buy your products.
