The political arena can often take on the characteristics of a circus, with its colorful characters, grand spectacles, and high-wire acts. But what happens when the circus leaves town, and the ringmaster finds himself on trial? Such is the case in the current political landscape, as several Republican candidates for the 2024 election find themselves caught in a controversy that has them living out of state. I shall discuss some of these candidates and the circus that surrounds them and I acknowledge some bias as a concerned African American with a certain lived experience of constant judgement and scrutiny. I often get the impression from people I’ve interacted with that the threat posed to our election systems, the candidate’s credibility and the criminal indictments have worn out people and they want it over. Consequently, I feel that closely following both local and national political races is crucial to understanding the threats to our democracy, government, and mental health by the manipulative forces who will go to great lengths in their efforts to establish a GOP MAGA republic and more sympathetic to wealthy elitists.

Wisconsin Republican Candidate Eric Hovde

Amid the uproar surrounding the out-of-state living controversy, Eric Hovde, a Republican candidate from Wisconsin, stands out as a particularly intriguing figure. Hovde, a successful financier, and banker known for his financial prowess, has found himself embroiled in a legal battle that rivals a high-stakes tightrope walk. He owns many homes around the world and this country. In fact, his charitable foundation owns shelters, not private homes in Central America. But, curiously, he has a pattern of obtaining homes linked to possible political candidacy. In Washington, D.C., he owned a home and later transferred to a trust with his brother. Mr. Hovde is free to purchase homes, but spending time outside the state and in California raises a lot of questions of residency and a career around helping wealthy people.

[The Sentencing Project] Wisconsin leads the nation with the highest rate of imprisonment of Black Americans, with 2,742 per 100,000 Black residents incarcerated in state prisons. US News and World Report.

It’s worth noting that Hovde is not alone in his predicament. Several other Republican candidates from various swing states, including Pennsylvania, Montana, Arizona, and Michigan, are facing similar challenges. While each candidate has their own unique story to tell, they are all part of the same circus and the same overall and nationally organized. Why? The involvement of multiple Republican-led states in these schemes makes it difficult to simply dismiss them as coincidences.

Recent news coverage revealed that Sen. Cuellar and his spouse, a Democrat representing Texas, are facing bribery charges, serving as a reminder that no political party is immune to misconduct. However, in these cited instances, greed played an enormous role in the individual Texas senator’s alleged crime, while in the others their scheme puts the entire country and democracy itself at a perilous crossroads. Do you think citizens in Russia, North Korea, Hungary are happy with their Government when they have no choice? Do you think you have an immigration problem now? Wait until they establish fascism and the organized criminal gangs take control over who may enter and exit the country. When there is money to be made, who usually benefits the most? Remember the selective WNBA and College Basketball star Britney Griner arrest in Russia for what amounted to drugs you can legally get with a marijuana card in the U.S. now? Recall the Donald Trump “Muslim Travel Ban”, and when as “a candidate for president, Donald Trump called for “a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what the hell is going on.

Pennsylvania Republican Candidate David McCormick

David McCormick, a Republican candidate with a fervent following, became the center of controversy in Pennsylvania. McCormick’s out-of-state living situation has raised eyebrows among his supporters and opponents alike, leading some to question his commitment to his home state.

Statistics reveal McCormick has spent a significant amount of time outside of Pennsylvania, raising concerns about his ability to truly understand and address the needs of his constituents.

However, it is important to note that spending time outside of Pennsylvania does not necessarily mean McCormick is incapable of understanding and addressing the needs of his constituents. In today’s interconnected world, technology allows individuals to fulfill their responsibilities effectively from anywhere through constant communication and remote work. McCormick might have gained valuable experiences and perspectives from living in different states, which could contribute to his ability to bring fresh ideas and innovative solutions to the table. It is essential to evaluate his qualifications, policy stances, and dedication to serving the people of Pennsylvania rather than solely focusing on his living situation.

According to a recent poll, 62% of Pennsylvania voters believe that evaluating McCormick’s candidacy should take into consideration his out-of-state living situation as a major issue.

However, it is important to note that McCormick’s supporters argue that his success as a business person has allowed him to bring valuable insights and experiences to the table. They believe that his out-of-state living situation should not overshadow his dedication to serving the people of Pennsylvania.

Montana Republican Candidate Tim Sheehy

In the vast landscapes of Montana, another Republican candidate finds himself entangled in the web of controversy. Tim Sheehy, a charismatic figure known for his fiery speeches and unwavering commitment to conservative principles, is facing his own share of scrutiny.

Recent reports suggest Sheehy has spent a significant amount of time living out of state, a fact that has not gone unnoticed by his opponents. Critics argue that Sheehy’s out-of-state living situation raises questions about his ability to represent the interests and values of Montanans.

However, Sheehy’s supporters argue that his experiences outside of Montana have given him a broader perspective and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by rural communities. They believe that his experiences outside of Montana give him a broader perspective and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by rural communities, which sets him apart from other candidates.

Michigan Republican Candidate Mike Rogers

Michigan also experiences its fair share of drama with Mike Rogers, a prominent Republican candidate. Many people widely saw Rogers, an experienced politician with a strong history of success, as a leading contender in the competition for the party’s nomination.

However, revelations about his out-of-state living situation have cast a shadow over his campaign. Critics argue that Rogers’ decision to live outside of Michigan undermines his credibility and commitment to the state and its residents.

Rogers’ supporters highlight his extensive experience in national security and foreign policy, arguing that his out-of-state living situation has allowed him to build valuable connections and expertise that can benefit Michigan and the entire country.

On the other hand, critics of Rogers point out that his out-of-state living situation may actually disconnect him from the needs and concerns of Michigan residents. They argue that someone who has spent significant time away from the state may not fully understand the local issues and priorities that impact the lives of its citizens. Additionally, opponents argue that experience in national security and foreign policy does not necessarily translate into an effective representation for the people of Michigan, who may have more pressing concerns, such as job creation, healthcare, and education. Arizona residents share these same concerns.

Arizona Republican Candidates: Kari Lake on Abortion, Jake Hoffman, Liz Harris

The political landscape in Arizona is heating up as the spotlight shines on a trio of Republican candidates vying for attention and votes. Kari Lake, Jake Hoffman, and Liz Harris each bring a unique set of perspectives and controversies to the forefront, adding layers of intrigue to the already intense race.

Kari Lake, a former news anchor with a reputation for her unapologetically conservative views, has emerged as a polarizing figure because of her stance on abortion. While some within the party applaud Lake for her steadfast commitment to pro-life values, others have raised concerns about the potential alienation of moderate voters. The debate surrounding Lake’s position on this contentious issue has sparked intense discussions and highlighted the diversity of opinions within the Republican base.

Jake Hoffman, a promising young figure in the Republican party, has found himself embroiled in controversy following allegations of ethical misconduct. Recent statistics show a noticeable decline in Hoffman’s approval ratings, signaling a shift in support among both loyal party members and undecided voters. The shadow of these allegations looms large over Hoffman’s campaign, raising questions about his ability to weather the storm and emerge unscathed.

On the other hand, Liz Harris, a political outsider with dedicated grassroots following, has stirred up a different kind of controversy with her unconventional campaign strategies. While Harris’s unorthodox approach has garnered attention and support from her loyal base, critics have voiced concerns about the potential impact on the integrity of the political process. The clash between traditional and innovative campaign tactics has sparked a lively debate within political circles, underscoring the developing nature of electioneering in the digital age.

South Dakota Kristi Noem Book Highlights Puppy Killing

Even amid the circus atmosphere, there are stories that stand out as particularly bizarre. One such story arises from the successful Plains of South Dakota, where Governor Kristi Noem finds herself entangled in a scandal involving a disturbing act: puppy killing.

But, you say people “hunt” all the time? Hunters are part of the American fabric; well, so is no accountability apparently. Just ask Anthony Huber’s parents. Their son was killed by an alleged “Urban police supporter/hunter” Kyle Rittenhouse during the aftermath of protests of the police shooting Jacob Blake, a black man, unarmed posing no imminent threat in his back, at least 7 times. The jury acquitted young 18-year-old Rittenhouse on all charges. Consider, for a tiny moment, a young white gunman “with a Smith & Wesson AR-15 style .223 rifle”, could stroll with his hat worn backward down a Wisconsin street and in self-defense he was able to kill other young people. Why was he out in the street armed with a weapon supporting “Blue Lives Matter” while many other civilians toted weapons, he actually used his gun that fateful day. I am disturbed by a young white civilian male carrying a military style weapon and filled with online white nationalist rhetoric. Remember when the black Nation of Islam was labeled as a threat by the FBI for defending themselves. The death of Malcom X complicates the relationship between the FBI who has been accused of “Gross misconduct” related to withholding of evidence for trial of his killers later exonerated. Back to hunting, using an automatic style rifle for hunting, but carrying the weapon on a street seems a contradiction. What do you think?

Noem’s recently published book has stirred controversy, with excerpts revealing her involvement in the hunting and killing of dog and a goat during her time as a sportswoman. The revelation has shocked many and has led to calls for further investigations into her past actions. Or as she has defended herself, there is nothing to see here. It's just a person killing a farm animal. Okay? She didn’t take an AR-15-style rifle to work to defend herself or walk down a community street with one and use it. Crazy, right?

Whether this scandal will have a lasting impact on Noem’s political career remains to be seen. However, it serves as a reminder that even in a circus, there are acts that cross the boundaries of acceptability. My guess, this will become one of the many anecdotal footnotes to a ground-breaking shift for Americans both politically but also as a nation. This nation is not your “greatest generation”, “Band of Brothers” or “Saving Private Ryan” nostalgic let’s pull it together nation. Those days are very far behind us. After Charlottesville, Va’s very fine people, South Carolina and the Buffalo, NY massacres of black people by a white gunmen, we are beyond the pale that black americans and minorities are taking over and are considered “vermin”. The contrary to a black conservative view of victimhood, black people are actual victims of police brutality and white nationalists at an undeniable increased rate and ratio. We are on the precipice of a literal democratic self-destruction (wealthy above the law) at worst or morally bankrupt and blamable Jim Crow 2.0 system. Sound the alarm?

The controversy surrounding Governor Noem’s recent book has sparked debates on animal rights and ethical hunting practices. Animal welfare organizations have condemned the alleged actions described in the book, calling for stricter regulations on hunting and a deeper scrutiny of individuals in positions of power.

Furthermore, the revelation has prompted discussions on the impact of public figures’ past behaviors on their current roles. Many are questioning whether Governor Noem’s actions as a sportswoman should influence her decisions as a political leader and how society should address such revelations. But perhaps her book is an open resume for the role of vice president under Trump? The details of her book expose the core of a recent turn of GOP MAGA sentiment in our nation that says “I’m not afraid nor do I care about the consequences of getting my hands dirty or making those tough decisions (i.e. Mike Pence).” We see this rising tide of political misdeeds with criminal indictment of Republicans in key swing states for the upcoming 2024 elections.

Swing State Republicans Face Indictment in Georgia, Arizona, Michigan, and Nevada

The circus reaches its climax as we shift our focus to the swing states of Georgia, Arizona, Michigan, and Nevada. In these states, several Republican candidates face potential indictment.

The indictments come because of investigations into alleged illegal activities, including voter fraud and campaign finance violations. The allegations have further fueled the already heated political climate, as both sides of the partisan divide are quick to seize upon any opportunity to gain an advantage.

Statistics show that the number of indictments in these swing states has increased significantly in recent years, causing concern among voters about the integrity of the electoral process. For instance, in the swing state of Pennsylvania, the number of indictments related to voter fraud has seen a sharp rise in the past five years. According to official records, there were only five indictments in 2015, but this number surged to 30 in 2020. This alarming increase has raised questions among voters about the integrity of the electoral process in Pennsylvania and has become a major concern for those who want to ensure fair and transparent elections.

Legal experts argue that the indictments may have far-reaching consequences not only for the individual candidates but also for the future of the Republican Party in these key battleground states. The indictments might affect the individual candidates by damaging their reputations and credibility, making it difficult for them to secure public trust and support. Additionally, the Republican Party may suffer long-term consequences as these key battleground states play a crucial role in determining electoral outcomes. If voters perceive the party as being associated with corruption or illegal activities, it could harm their chances of winning future elections in these states and erode overall party support. However, the reality of blind loyal support by MAGA crowd sustains the chaos within the party as evidenced by the Trump “Hush Money” Trial in New York about alleged affair with porn star Stormy Daniel and subsequent falsifying business records.

As the trial continues, the spectators contemplate the state of our democracy in daily reporting, pondering the significance of this microcosm of political turmoil. I wish they allowed television cameras so the public could see and hear the cross examinations live. The circus may have taken a back seat, but its absence only served to highlight the pressing need for transparency, integrity, and accountability in our political system.

In this dingy New York courtroom, amidst the swirling controversies, “GAG” order, and looming challenges, a moment of reflection emerged, reminding us of the importance of addressing the broader issues that shape our political landscape.

However, it is important to delve deeper into the complexities of these indictments and their potential impact. In Georgia, for instance, the investigation into voter fraud has uncovered a network of individuals allegedly involved in a sophisticated scheme to manipulate election results. This revelation has sent shockwaves through the state, raising questions about the effectiveness of current safeguards in place to protect the integrity of our democratic processes.

In Arizona, the focus of the investigation has shifted towards campaign finance violations. The investigation has shifted its focus towards campaign finance violations in Arizona, alleging that certain Republican candidates received substantial financial contributions from undisclosed sources, compromising the transparency and fairness of the electoral contest. Another Dark Money situation. This revelation has ignited a fierce debate about money’s influence on politics and the need for stricter campaign finance regulations.

In Michigan, the indictments have exposed a web of connections between Republican candidates and powerful interest groups. The investigation has revealed a complex network of financial transactions and favors exchanged, raising concerns about the undue influence of special interests in political decision-making. This revelation has prompted calls for greater transparency and accountability in our political system.

Meanwhile, in Nevada, the indictments have shed light on voter suppression. People have alleged that specific Republican candidates used tactics to suppress the votes of particular groups, thus undermining the fundamental principles of democracy. This revelation has sparked a passionate debate about protecting every citizen’s right to vote and ensuring equal access to the electoral process.

While the circus may leave town eventually, people will feel the impact of the ringmaster’s trial for years to come. I discussed accountability and think these trials are really about if a former president is truly above the law and not accountable or not and if the American people are okay with this new twist on the US Constitution. And the disparity is not just homegrown for racial arrests. Consider broadly, the United Kingdom (England) reported (2021–2022), “black men were over 2.5 times as likely to be arrested as white men — there were 39.9 arrests for every 1,000 black men and 15.4 arrests for every 1,000 white men.” Gov.U.K

The Sentencing Project, a Washington, D.C.-based research and advocacy center, found that Black Americans are incarcerated at nearly 5 times the rate of white Americans, whereas Latino Americans are imprisoned 1.3 times the rate of white Americans. Adriana Rezal, US News, and World Report.

It is only through a careful examination of these complex issues, using statistics and facts as our guide, that we can unravel the tangled web of politics and ensure a more accountable and transparent system. Please consider the facts before you leap and vote in this upcoming election if it matters to you. In this age of social media and misinformation, it is so important to ask questions and be skeptical about information provided by your news sources. I spoke to a lady who stated she only listens to YouTube? The future of our democracy depends on it. Our collective mental health depends on accountability, righting the wrongs, and working together towards inclusivity and fairness.
