Confederacy of Dunces Used Phone App to Brag About Bombing
Worst sec. of defense ever lands admin.’s first big scandal
It took a little over two months for the Trump administration to get its first big scandal.
I’m careful to say big scandal because there are 1,001 little scandals that happen every day in the Trump administration. President Donald Trump pardoned violent insurrectionists, then suggested paying them reparations. He allowed federal contractors to segregate. And Trump and Vice President JD Vance screamed at an ally in the White House. It’s difficult to keep track of them.
However, what’s being called Signalgate is turning out to be the first big scandal. It even has gate added to it. In case you’ve been living under a rock for the past few days, Signalgate involves a group of high-level Trump administration officials who were discussing a military strike against Yemen in Signal. The group included Sec. of Defense Pete Hegseth, National Security Adviser Mike Waltz, CIA Director John Ratfcliffe and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard.
Behind The Signal Scandal
Signal is an encrypted messaging app usually accessed through phones. The unique point about the app is messages can disappear. And that leads to another scandal.
