Not only did Donald Trump lie about his handling of the coronavirus during his most recent Presidential debate with Joe Biden, but he also lied repeatedly about the severity of the virus while he was President.

While many Americans spent Trump’s last July 4th as President confined to their homes amid an alarming rise in coronavirus cases, Trump spent July 4, 2020, lying to the American people from the White House’s South Lawn, claiming that 99% of coronavirus cases in America were “totally harmless.”
On July 3, 2020, the United States reported 57,497 newly confirmed coronavirus cases, the largest single-day total in the country since the pandemic began. It was the seventh time the U.S. reported a new record in nine days. At least 20 states set new highs for the average number of daily new infections during the previous seven days.
