I never understood Steve Bannon, the far-right provocateur who was the brains behind the MAGA movement. He’s a bundle of contradictions. He’s a Harvard-educated former investment banker who’s a millionaire but claims to be a populist.

He dresses like he sleeps in the park, stays at 5-star hotels, flies private, and hangs out with billionaires on their yachts. He’s heavily into the America First/ America-for-white Americans mentality but organized a business conference for Black entrepreneurs. He was friends with Chinese billionaire Guo Wengui, yet also hung out with European neo-Nazis. And Breitbart, the notorious alt-right rag, that Bannon ran had a section called “Black Crime.”

And what’s with wearing three shirts at once?

Bannon The Populist?

Bannon, who is allegedly highly intelligent, has a love-hate relationship with President Donald Trump. (Trump dubbed him “Sloppy Steve” because of his attire.) Bannon admires his power to use propaganda to rile up Americans, but he also admits that Trump is not the sharpest tool. And accurately predicted he might face the 25th amendment.
