Once again, Trump’s insistence on running the show backfires
I wanted to write about Stephanie (Stormy) Daniels absolutely destroying Trump lawyer Susan Necheles in cross examination Thursday. It was the best and funniest day of ANY of Trump’s trials. At times, Stormy was cross-examining Necheles. Maybe Trump should have hired Stormy as his defense lawyer, because the longer Stormy was up there the worse it became for Necheles and Trump. The trial isn’t about sex, but sexual episodes with women is where Trump is most sensitive. He can’t control his urge to lash out at the women he has used and abused, as we saw in the E. Jean Carroll case. How dare they try to hold him accountable?
But the Lawrence O’Donnell piece Thursday night …I just can’t deliver it better. Count how many times he says “Orange Turd” — referring to the Tweet Stormy Daniels posted in response to a mean Tweet someone else attacked her with on X. The Tweet Trump wanted to use to make the judge modify the gag order. Dee-nied.
This is what happens when Trump decides he knows better than his own attorneys. You cannot make this stuff up.
