Contrary to initial reports, law enforcement officials have confirmed that Donald Trump was not grazed by a bullet, but rather by shards of glass after bullets fired from an AR-15-styled weapon shattered one of his teleprompters. This reporting comes to us from Newsmax’s Alex Salvi and Axios’ Juliegrace Brufke: Trump was hit by glass and not lead.
Law enforcers have also confirmed that the shooter at the Butler, Pennsylvania rally was shot and killed by Secret Service personnel. One other person in the crowd was shot and killed, apparently by the assailant, while yet another was seriously injured.
The now super-viral videos show Trump grabbing his neck and his ear as if swatting an annoying insect, even as gunshots continued to fly toward and passed him.
Secret Service agents rushed the stage from stage left and stage right. They forced Trump to the ground and then covered him with their bodies. Slowly, gradually, as other cops announced that the shooter was down and that the scene was clear….then the Secret Service allowed Trump to rise, even as he asked for his shoes.
