Stepping out of big brother’s shadow

President Trump has withdrawn from the World Health Organisation and the Paris Climate Agreement. Membership of NATO is in doubt. Will the UN be next, followed by the World Trade Organisation?

He has put tariffs on most of the civilised world. At the time of writing, he had signed an executive order to sanction the International Criminal Court (ICC) for their arrest warrants against members of the Israeli government. He has stated that he will clear all Palestinians out of Gaza, take control of it and rebuild it, in, presumably, his image. The Palestinians will not be allowed to return.

He wants to take control of Greenland and Panama, and make Canada the 51st state. He is making overtures to Russia and relegating Zelenskyy and Ukraine to the sidelines.

The USA is becoming isolated, and overreaching it’s perceived authority in the world. Dale Carnegie would be spinning in his grave. So what happens next?

NATO may need to be restructured and the UN headquarters likely moved to Europe. Europe has its own problems and have been told to deal with them without the help of the USA, with some doubt over the war between Ukraine and Russia.
