The only one of his dozens of Christmas Day posts that’s getting widely reported is the one where he claims Biden “pardoned” 37 murderers, which is a lie. Biden, in accordance with his stated view against the death penalty, changed their sentences from death to life in prison. He excluded the Boston Marathon Bomber and the place of worship mass shooters. The lie and “go to hell” verbiage in that post isn’t much different than usual for Trump.

But the hours he spent pounding out post after deranged post truly makes me wonder how I’m supposed to feel comfortable with him in possession of the nuclear codes. I know everyone reading this survived his first term, but this time it’s likely Pete Hegseth in Gen. Mattis’s place, with Trump threatening to fire any military officer who vows loyalty to country over him.

For hours on Christmas Day, the same guy who’s about to be handed executive control of our government was posting social media conspiracy theories, threats to take over the Panama Canal and how he wants to annex Greenland and Canada, complaints about people who didn’t vote for him, bragging about…
