The Trump campaign outsourced their get-out-the vote ground operation to Elon Musk’s America PAC. The result has been a comical shit-show. Aside from glitches with the canvassing app and bad voter data, the “unusual activity” logs suggest a FULL QUARTER of the canvassers in Nevada and Arizona aren’t actually doing their jobs.
A viral video showed Musk canvassers how to scam the app while getting paid to do it. Musk, who has zero experience running a campaign, is a living example of why being stupidly rich doesn’t make you an expert in everything. After spending $70 million trying to turn out voters in a door-knocking effort, a large percentage of canvassers aren’t actually knocking on doors, according to investigative reporting in the UK Guardian.
