I’m writing to you regarding your recent rant where you addressed Black American men specifically, regarding the upcoming 2024 election.

Your words and tone, were reminiscent of Bill Cosby’s infamous Pound Cake speech, in which the older god, addressed issues in the Black community, but laced them with condescension and derision.

Ironically, that speech dropped the same year when you came to us and eloquently stirred America with hope during the Democratic National Convention.

Many of us thought that you were the change and hope we had prayed for. Not just Black folks, but Americans as a whole.

Your recent words and finger-wagging were directed at the wrong people. What you don’t realize, is that many Black men, like myself, who are considering Trump, we’re doing so out of desperation.

You mentioned that considering Trump was not acceptable.
