Stripping America for Parts
The coming national garage sale
Trump is taking a sledgehammer to the U.S. government.
But why? Is it for the traditional conservative idea of “small government?”
No. They’re breaking it up so they can sell it off.
Soon, Trump may sell the rubble to oligarchs that will feed it into the maw of their tech companies. And through a combination of private equity, AI, and incel sweat, they’ll strip out the assets and relaunch formerly public services for profit. One could argue that the privatization drive is already underway.
At a recent technology conference, Trump’s hatchet man Elon Musk has spoken openly that the government should “…privatize anything that can reasonably be privatized” with Amtrak and the Post Office being two examples.
Government functions that can’t be broken and sold off will have their contracts awarded to friends and donors of the president. A recent example is the reported deal between the FAA and Elon Musk’s Starlink satellite network for the latter to assume communications infrastructure services replacing Verizon. Reportedly, FAA officials were “ordered” to begin “finding” tens of millions of dollars for the deal.
It’s not limited to government services.
