Submit Your Best Political Writing — The Political Prism
November 5th is closing in
Here in America, we are less than a month away from Election Day — November 5, 2024. It’s hard to imagine a time when we’ve been more polarized and divided, although 1968 may come close and the Civil War of the 1860s probably takes the cake.
At The Political Prism, we’re trying to address these problems of polarization and division through the written word. These challenges exist globally, so we love publishing pieces like A Glimmer of Hope by Prasanna Srinath Subhasinghe II, where he discussed the Sri Lankan Presidential Election of 2024.
My strong view is that if we can have reasoned and respectful dialogue — in good faith — then most of us will be able to discover common ground. We won’t agree on everything and frankly, we shouldn’t. Part of the beauty of humanity is the diverse and differing perspectives.
So if a writer like Illmatical thinks The Left is Becoming Bullies, we should listen. Or if a writer like Nick Hart thinks the Democrats aren’t being too democratic in their primary process, we should read why.
At the same time, we should be critical of those pursuing power and their motivations for doing so, which I tried to do as objectively as possible in this piece on Donald Trump.
