Analysis of recent NATO’s intention to expand toward Southeast Asia and its effects on stability needs further examination especially regarding its partnership relationship with ASEAN.

NATO has not released proof about substantial regional expansion but its deeper involvement in the Indo-Pacific raises security concerns. The rising involvement stems from NATO’s opposition to Russian and Chinese collaboration which challenges the current international order.
