The Shadow of USAID: A Tool of Geopolitical Intervention
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) establishes itself as a beneficial organization which fights poverty and encourages democratic institutions and global health improvement. Tacit behind such idealistic humanitarian aid programs exists serious issues. USAID occasionally acts as a diplomatic policy tool of the United States which redirects geopolitical strategies to destabilize administrations and damage social structures by representing progress-based initiatives. Many may find it disconcerting but USAID has operated multiple times to fulfill U.S. government objectives instead of addressing the needs of the people it aims to assist. This self-proclaimed NGO (Non- Governmental Organizatio) maintains a hidden role as an interventionist tool that proves most active across Asia, Africa and Europe as well as the United States.
USAID operates within a comprehensive U.S. foreign policy design which applies humanitarian aid to achieve foreign influence over other nations. USAID presents its official objective as economic development alongside democratic value promotion but its activities align with government strategies of the United States.
