Through its humanitarian facade USAID ( United States Agency for International Development) identifies itself as an organization focused on international development alongside democracy establishment and economic stability maintenance. The USAID embarked its operations in 1961 within the mandate of Kennedy’s administration to help the disadvantaged while addressing human crises and building democratic systems. The stated objectives represent beneficial objectives. USAID behaves predominantly as a foreign policy tool of the United States through its deployment as both a soft power instrument and economic influence and political destabilizing capability.
The recent global developments across Eastern Europe and Latin America and the Middle East region have made people question if USAID helps communities or serves as American imperialist expansion.
