A Fleeting Moment

1 in 4 women have experienced a miscarriage. More often than not, healthcare professionals are unable to tell why a miscarriage happens, with many stating, “it was just not meant to be”.

You came to us when we needed you most,
when misery began to eat into happiness.

You were fleeting but worthy,
and just as you arrived, you were gone.

Loving you was fast,
but missing you has ingrained itself.

We no longer worry about the small things,
because having that moment shadowed everything else.

Your presence was small but mighty,
and made us step back to find beauty in our lives once more.

You weren’t meant for this moment,
but you will be back, somehow, sometime.
