Five toes stomp playfully
in a tide pool
Non-threatening
compared with the ocean beyond
S t r e t c h i n g , r e a c h i n g
Wiggling toes giggle
A quick leap to the beach
Tiny misplaced feet explore
wet quicksand
buried momentarily
Snickers pull them…
