City girl in the summer
Face hotter than the sun
City girl in the summer
Her mascara never runs

City girl in the summer knows
Where to get the coolest drink in town
City girl in the summer hopes
A cool breeze will come around

City girl in the summer never
Lets you see her sweat
City girl in the summer always
Keeps her whistle wet

So if it’s summer in the city
And a city girl comes ‘round
Trust the city girl in the summer
Or get the hell out of town

Response to the Day 28 prompt of Summer of Spilled Words II.
