Dream of Freedom

So, having discovered Arjan Tupan’s new form, the tritriplicata, I decided to give it a try. I like the way the form allows a thought to shift throughout the line sequence. First, the words themselves are most important, then the rhythm naturally quickens and the flow takes precence, then the words once again become paramount.

Well, that is how I see it, at any rate! Here is my first tritriplicata:

Dream of Freedom

When pain lies
Chain-wise across heartbeats,
I dream and see and dream yet again
The red blood of freedom
Throb my veins.
