Black Lives Matter
I’m Black
A Poem
And,
without my eternal presence, how would these enigmatic stars,
laying bare on my body, would shine bright?
how the mystical gleaming beauty, the moon you adore,
delights on my bare chest, would inspire, poets every night?
I’m black!
And,
how I follow your footsteps,
big, and small, I play with you all,
reflection of Thee truth, I laugh, cry, smile,
never leave you all?
I’m black!
And,
forget not, never,
I enlighten the path, open thy close heart,
with Thee wisdom,
a record of the percipience, woven on the white fabric,
of every scripture,
I dance melodiously to the rhythm,
of Thee presence!
I’m black!
And
listen!
without the wondrous me,
thou are worthless,
without the wondrous me,
thou are colourless,
Come, be my friend!
for beneath you and beneath me,
beats a noble heart of,
vivid colours and infinite beauty!
I’m black!
