Monday Morning

Poetry

Photo by Mikel Parera on Unsplash

Daylight
carnival noises
echoing voices
Saturn missiles ringing in my ears

Body numb
in my bed
throbbing head
a thousand seasick sailors in my gut

Reality check:
events are tattered
thoughts are scattered
a jigsaw puzzle inside…
