This is the very first #POMprompt!! Don’t forget the directives for participating:

This week I wrote a poem that revealed one of my darkest secrets, a terrible moment I suffered in silence, and now 20 years later, I’ve been able to finally discuss this — through poetry.

Poetry can reveal all of our insides. (Remember The Poet Cleaning?) Even the parts we prefer to keep hidden — but can’t, because, well, poetry happens.

This first #POMprompt is a word prompt.

The word is REVEAL. Your poem can include this word or a variation of it, or the poem itself can function as a revelation of some sort. Consider what poetry means to you, how it reveals your deepest thoughts, or think of what happens to the chrysalis as it opens and reveals the ready, grown, flight-prepared butterfly. Whatever your idea, allow your poetic spirit to roll in that direction. What will you reveal with this prompt?
