Ravenna postpones Art on Main until 2021

Main Street Ravenna has announced Art on Main event will be postponed until 2021 due to covid-19.

“After lengthy discussions, the Main Street Ravenna Board of Directors made the difficult decision to cancel Art on Main this year due to the pandemic situation,” said Julie McLain, Executive Director of Main Street Ravenna.

“Art on Main is in it’s fifth year and has grown very well. We typically have around 40–45 artists, two stages for musicians, four food trucks and three to four wineries participate. Last year we saw probably 3,000 attendees throughout the day. We have rescheduled the event for Saturday, June 19, 2021. Most if not all artists who had committed this year will be back for next year — we are looking forward to it!”

It’s not just Art on Main. Many of the businesses and events in Ravenna are planning for difficulties through the summer.

“At this point most of our already scheduled events are cancelled until at least Aug. 1,” McLain said. “We are however, focusing on supporting our downtown businesses who remain open and trying to do activities where it is easier to be socially distanced.”
