Like Reality: Objective vs. Subjective View

The surreal abstract figure
Lying naked on the floor
Her toes tucked under the rug
Turns to see who came in.
You look upon her parts but you can’t see her as she is,
While you appreciate her angles and curves,
Like reality,
Your views of her are multiple, concurrent, distracted by
varied perspectives all at once.
Her eye looks at you.
You must have interrupted.
She was reading the book on the table.
Like reality,
She resists your expectation
To resolve her incongruities.
Like reality
She looks at you still
Until you realize it’s time to go.
She waits for you to leave
So she can get back to her book.
