Not All Beliefs Are Good
Neither do we need to fix / What others believe / Nor let them compel us / To believe what they believe.
Neither do we need to fix
What others believe
Nor let them compel us
To believe what they believe.
Neither entrenched institutions
Nor their dogmatic beliefs have ever
Brought forth questioning and exploration.
Neither have beliefs in military domination
Nor righteous enmity
Have ever led to
Peace and friendship.
Neither do beliefs in greed
Nor elitist power
Ever created the virtues of honest generosity and sharing.
Nevertheless
there’s a rainbow emanating
From the marrow of every being
Where the multi-colorful beliefs
of human goodness glow forth.
