The 3E’s of Ah-Ha!
Oprah can do it and so can you.

The Ah-ha moment. Merriam Webster actually has a definition for it:
a moment of sudden realization, inspiration, insight, recognition, or comprehension.
Yes — that’s what I want. To realize. To be inspired. To have insight. To recognize and comprehend. Where do I get that??
Ah-ha moments are not the result of luck. They are not inherited and you can’t buy them. Want to open your heart and soul for some Ah-ha? Here’s how:

You gotta get out there.
I made 2018 my first ever ‘year of yes’. You don’t have to take it that far, but you have to start saying yes to things that are new. And yes to things that may seem out of your comfort zone. Make a commitment tosay YES to the next thing (or 5 things) that come up!!!

In this case I’m referring to your acceptance of possibility.
I used to say “I wish” a lot. I wish I could…I wish I would…I wish I had. I get the need to be realistic. “I wish I would win the lottery”. Well, yeah, don’t we all? But what do you really wish? Drill down. Why? Get to the root of why you wish something.
Go ahead — pick something you wish you could, would or had. Now drill down and get to the reason. Got it? So do it. Like, really, do it.

How do you re-set?
Rabbi Alexis Berk taught me more than she can know. One amazing gem was this — don’t wait until you retire to take a vacation. Her message was this: we tend to work our whole lives for the end. Work hard, save, steady the course, and someday you’ll retire to your paradise. Wait. Better plan. Take a little paradise every day, every week, every month, every year.
A weekly Shabbat is designed not only for religious practice. It is a brilliant recommendation that breeds health and happiness. It’s up to you to figure out how you rest and recharge. For me, it looks like this:
Daily: Yoga
Weekly: Hike
Monthly: Time with friends
Yearly: Time at the ocean or lake
Here’s the summary — here’s how you open your life for more ‘ah-ha’
