5 Questions To Ask Yourself Before Considering Entrepreneurship
I wish I had asked myself these questions sooner.
Can anyone and everyone be an entrepreneur?
Lately I’ve been wondering if some form of entrepreneurship ought to be a cornerstone component in everyone’s quest toward what philosophers have called “the good life”…
It’s funny, because if you had asked me 10 years ago, I never would have thought I would be an entrepreneur, let alone an advocate for entrepreneurship.
In high school, I had no idea what I would do for a career, but it never even crossed my mind to consider entrepreneurship. I knew I had lots of interests that I wanted to pursue over the course of my life, but I assumed some “traditional job” would be my primary activity.
And once I got to college, I thought I found the answer — I was going to become an academic professor.
It wasn’t until I did all the hard work to get into a good grad school and started participating as a professional within academia that I realized — there’s got to be an alternative.
And even then, my first thought wasn’t to become an entrepreneur.
But looking back, I wish it had been.
