Sports Messed Me Up As A Kid, And I Only Realized It Later

I just lost a wrestling match.

My father threw my headgear down in frustration in the hallway, telling me how bad my recent match was.

He didn’t know my loss came as a result of a fear of losing.

Why did I fear losing?
