To be Successful You Need to Fully Commit
“I want the peace in knowing that it wasn’t for lack of hustling that I missed a target for my dream. I want to know that the one thing in my control was under control.” -Jon Acuff
The world is unpredictable. There will be an infinite of things that could stop you reaching your goals and dreams.
All but one of those of things are out of your control, and that’s is your effort.
If you really want to achieve something in life, you must fully commit to giving 100% effort. To do anything else, you risk the chance of coming up short.
The Attraction of Not Fully Committing
Few people fully commit to anything because it is just so easy to give half an effort or take no action at all.
Most people like to think about the end destination of their dream but aren’t willing to take the steps to get there. They tell themselves they will do something, and then don’t do it.
“Most people would rather make a million dollars in their head every night than $100 dollars in cash every day.” -George Horace Lorimer
Most people let fear hold them back from achieving what they really want. They’re frightened to fully commit because that means committing to the unknown. They’d rather stick to their comfort zone because that’s what they’ve been told is ‘safe’. But there is no such thing as safe.
You need to enter the void of the unknown because that is the only place change can happen — where failure can happen and so can success. If you merely stick to your comfort zones and don’t commit to putting yourself in a situation where anything can happen, you’ll wind up treading water and in 5 years you’ll wonder why your job, income and relationships haven't improved.
“If you’re not moving at all, you’re not going up and you’re not going down. You’re going down” — Grant Cardone
“The moment you accept total responsibility for EVERYTHING in your life is the day you claim the power the change ANYTHING in your life.” -Hal Elrod
You must realize your life is a product of your choice’s. Only you can make your dreams a reality. You must act on your desires if there is something you really want to achieve before you die.
The good news is the more you take ownership and commit to something the easier you will see results. As James Altucher puts it: “The greater your own internal fire is, the more people will want it. They will ignite their own fires. They will try to light up their own dark caves. The universe will bend to you.”
Winners Act Like Winners Before They Become a Winner
There is no point in halfheartedly committing to something because of a believe that you’ll never reach your goal — If you tell yourself you can’t, you certainly won’t!
To achieve anything you need to have the believe that you can.
As Bill Walsh said it: “Winners act like winners before they become winners. That’s how they become winners.”
Once you decided to fully commit to success, the subconscious mind will unknowingly find solutions to make it happen.
Stop Talking About it
I don’t want to hear what you’re doing or what your dreams are. I want to see it!
The more you talk about something, the less you’re probably doing it.
Talking about the work is a waste of time and energy. Use that time and energy instead to fully commit and actually do the work! Spend your time learning and mastering your craft.
When you fully commit to something you will produce results that will speak for them self and others will do the talking for you!
It’s Lonely at the Top
When you start changing your behaviors and become fully committed to something, you will undoubtedly disrupt the status-quo.
A lot of people will question your behaviors and tell you you’ve gone mad, or to “take it easy”. Most people don’t understand that to move beyond a good life, you need to fully commit — something most people aren’t willing to do, they think success will be easy and just come to them.
As a result, your relationships with a lot of people will fade. You’ll either fly right pass them or they simply won’t be able to understand you now that you're living at a higher frequency.
But whatever happens, needed to happen. You must get used to the fact that it’s lonely at the top. This path is not for everyone.
By following a path where you fully commit, the rate and height of your results will soar passed any compared to when you’re half or uncommitted. Because by fully committing, “You’re forcing your environment to change. Forcing it to match your visions and ideals. Forcing yourself to evolve into the person you want to be.” -Benjamin P. Hardy.
