When I first became eligible to be a Top Rated Seller on Fiverr, I tried to ignore it. After months of reading forums where people claimed that it was nearly impossible to make the cut, I was too afraid to even pretend that I could receive that shiny new title.

Three days later, I received the notification that I got it.

Now, I’ve been a Top Rated Seller for over a year — and I’m here to share the experience that comes with it.

Becoming a Top Rated Seller

The moment that I realized I would be eligible for Top Rated, I was pretty amazed. My freelance journey had been filled with fun work and a lot of great clients. Everything was going surprisingly well after leaving corporate life behind — and then I realized that it could get better.

First, I decided to look into being Top Rated. What did it really mean, if anything? Were there any perks besides a nice badge?

Freelance rankings can be quite a bit different from one site to the next. On Upwork, a person can become Top Rated in less than three months and only has to make $1000 to qualify.
