Why A Single Goal Never Works

Why we should put all of our eggs in one basket, and then change the basket.

There are many opinions around us as to how we should set goals, make efforts, lead our life and maybe even change it into a better one.

A Single Goal

Most of us, unconsciously or consciously, set up a goal. “Only If I can get into that university.” “Only if I can land that job.” “Only if I can set up that business.” “Then my life will be fulfilling.”

But a single goal means a 50- 50 chance of us failing.

Believing that only one university can change our life, only that one job can solve all of our problems, it’s a recipe for disaster.

Believe in the Why, not What

Our efforts should be on why we want that university or that job. A good education or an opportunity to learn can be one of the reasons why we are chasing that single dream. But if that’s the case, that means even if we got into that other university, or that other job, we can still grow and learn. Then why chase the single goal?

Your plan of action is a constantly evolving being.

Putting all your effort into one plan of action is a good start, but continuing down that path when you see no good results, or maybe the destination you set is not even meant for you, then change where you are going. As you gain more wisdom, change your destination. Its okay to change your mind and your goal with it.

Your plan of action should be to realize what you want to do and why, to constantly learn, and to tweak the path you are following along the way.

Eat. Sleep. Learn. Repeat!

Tell me what you think about it in the comments. With love. ❤
