“You always have the option to do what you like,” said the founder of the company I work at. We had a call, and I just described him my new business idea.

“The question is, what do you like to do? Organize your life around that.”

These words stuck with me. It’s true.

You always have the option to delegate the stuff you don’t like and focus only on what you like doing.

If you look at the most successful people — the Warren Buffets, Bill Gates, and Paul McCartneys of the world — they all followed that principle.

Most people just don’t see that the option is always there.

‘What do you like doing?’

It’s a simple question.

Yet, very few people take it into account when deciding what to do with their lives, what businesses to start, what careers to pursue.

There are people who, when told to perform a task, attack it head-on, without thinking.

And then there are people who look at the task, and before doing anything, take a moment to decide on the most efficient approach at handling it.
