A Bleak Future

A poem to remember

Treaded in misery I cry without noticing your sorrow; I lay restless thinking about the future.

The past was gone and had left bitter memories; unfazed and unbothered had become the new cover.

I see a bleak future churning up ahead in the clouds; I lay restless as if being unbothered has become the new cover .

I don’t wish to recall or revisit them in my memories; it’s bitter.

I resent my conscience for my foes not the other; Oh, dear was all I could utter.

Seeing my room not any better,

Ahh! was all I could utter.

Don’t pity me because you felt sorry; pity me for being a fool who could not see any better.

Oh, Lord forgive me for being an old fool who was afraid of the loop.

Oh, Lord forgive me for committing a sin, as I couldn’t win.

Treaded in misery I cry without noticing your sorrow; I lay restless thinking about the future.

Pity me for my do’s of the past, not my existence; Pity the fool not the soul.

Oh, Lord forgive me for being an old fool who was afraid of the loop.

I see a bleak future churning up ahead; I lay restless as if being unbothered has become the new cover.

I see a bleak future in the grey world who has lost its shine,

Dull and pale were the words that I could find.
