What are we and why do we inhabit?

i have an uneasy feeling.
we are strange creatures,
in a strange time,
plaguing the world with our misguided ambition.

riddled with bothersome
and
pressing notions
of what reality should be
and what it is
rather than
what it could be
and
what it isn’t

the world is obsessively unhealthy.
the wind blows with dangerous intent.
Shadows are vivid
and so are the dangers.
