Take a Chance On Me
“How do you light the bonfires in my mind […]”
How do you light the bonfires in my mind
tickling me with provoking talk
even if it’s just poppycock,
when we have nothing much in common,
no memories that are common
Just I woulda, shoulda, ought to
let me show you,
hoping that the future
will be bright for me to know you,
that special part of you
that makes you pickle as you swallow,
you ask me for tomorrow;
Promises to be proven true
So what am I left to do
Take a chance upon a star
And hope that you carry me far
Outer space is my special place
It’s where I enjoy staycation,
So if you are a man, can back your plan
Let me bite into temptation.
