It’s 2019, which means if you’re a human being on planet earth who’s heard of music, then you’re obsessed with Lizzo. What did we do to deserve Lizzo? I honestly can’t think of anything worthy of her. We don’t deserve Lizzo but thank goodness she’s here. I love Lizzo because she loves herself. In her songs, she sings about being sexy, being kick ass, and being confident. She also sings about overcoming problems (like a goddess), inspiring herself, and shining in a way that makes others shine. When I sing along to her songs, it’s kind of like I’m saying those nice things about myself. Loving yourself is hard! It takes practice, time, and work that we don’t necessarily want to do.
