Arsenal after a goalless first half, patiently see off Aston Villa 2-0 in the second round of matches in the Premier League

Villa, the only club who stopped Arsenal from winning the Premier League Trophy last season, was out to cause trouble once more.

Leandro Trossard and Thomas Partey scored the goals for the Gunners in the game at Villa Park, which saw off Villa manager Unai Emery against the former club he struggled with.

Instant influence with substitutes Leandro Trossard and Thomas Party led to a change of the game.

Remember that Arsenal finished runners-up by two points to Manchester City on 2023-24 Premier League title.

The Gunners dominated the early stages and Bukayo Saka was denied by Emi Martinez touching his shot wide of the far post.
