In this blog post, we’ll take a trip down memory lane and revisit the previous 10 NFL drafts, highlighting the best and worst players from each class. But before we delve into that, let’s share an epic experience from the 2023 NFL draft, where we were fortunate enough to attend thanks to Sea Geek and the Arizona Cardinals.

2013 NFL Draft

Regarded as one of the worst classes, the 2013 draft had a few hits, including Lane Johnson, Travis Frederick, and standout receiver DeAndre Hopkins. Unfortunately, the class was forgettable for the most part, with nearly half of the first-round picks starting two years or less. One notable disappointment was D. Milliner, whose career was cut short by a torn Achilles.

2014 NFL Draft

The 2014 draft showcased a more talented first round, with Khalil Mack, Mike Evans, CJ Mosley, Anthony Barr, and Zach Martin making a significant impact. However, two of the worst players, Justin Gilbert and Johnny Manziel, both drafted by the Cleveland Browns, failed to live up to expectations.

2015 NFL Draft

While hyped for its top quarterbacks, Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota, the 2015 draft was underwhelming. Amari Cooper, Todd Gurley, and Andrus P have had success, but Marcus Peters emerged as the top player with his impactful play in the secondary. On the flip side, Kevin White struggled with injuries, preventing him from fulfilling his potential.

2016 NFL Draft

Highlighted by quarterbacks Jared Goff and Carson Wentz, the 2016 draft saw Jalen Ramsey emerge as the best player. Ramsey’s exceptional skills as a cornerback set him apart, while Paxton Lynch, a raw and immature quarterback, failed to make a significant impact.

2017 NFL Draft

Forever known for the Bears choosing Mitchell Trubisky over Patrick Mahomes, the 2017 draft featured standout players like Miles Garrett and TJ Watt. However, wide receiver John Ross, known for his elite speed, ranks last in career Approximate Value (AV), and linebacker Ruben Foster faced off-field troubles leading to an early exit from the league.

2018 NFL Draft

A quarterback-heavy class, the 2018 draft produced stars like Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen. Jalen Ramsey, a top cornerback, outshone his peers, while quarterback Josh Rosen struggled to live up to expectations, leading to a premature exit from the NFL.

2019 NFL Draft

Entering their fifth year in the league, the 2019 class showcases talents like Kyler Murray, Nick Bosa, and Josh Allen. Despite their careers being cut short tragically, Dwayne Haskins and Jeff Gladney’s football journeys are respectfully acknowledged.

2020 NFL Draft

In just three seasons, the 2020 class has seen offensive superstars like Joe Burrow, Justin Jefferson, and Justin Herbert emerge. Defensive standout Chase Young has been a force, but the tragic passing of Dwayne Haskins and Jeff Gladney serves as a somber reminder.

2021 NFL Draft

Nine players from the 2021 class have already made Pro Bowls, with Ja’Marr Chase and Micah Parsons standing out as top offensive and defensive players, respectively.

2022 NFL Draft

Some notable mentions include Lewis Cine, who suffered an injury, and standout rookie corner Sauce Gardner, who has already made a significant impact for the Jets.
