Biggie Smalls is happy. Maybe Spike Lee. Jay-Z is surely happy. And maybe the late, great Jackie Robinson, who made Brooklyn forever famous.
But Kevin Durant, the basketball legend right now, is staying in Brooklyn, and all is well after all. It looked like for a minute he was willing to play anywhere except Brooklyn after last year’s chaotic season.
Last year was Ben Simmons not playing because of his back and/or his mental health. Kyrie the Sage Irving not playing because of a stand against the Covid-19 vaccine.
Then there was James Harden, who wasn’t in ever and then wanted out so bad, that he went to Philly and made a fool of himself. Harden, for the record, is now out. I think this is a good thing. Simmons could be the glue Irving and Durant need in their lives.

Yet, everyone knows, that the Brooklyn Nets will live or die with the man known as “KD.” Durantula. He’s a D.C. guy so I am always pulling for him because I am a D.C. guy, as well. Born and raised.
