The NFL preseason has reached the end of week two and many players have had the chance to showcase their talents on a large stage. Although, for most of these guys, their play came in limited snaps, they were still able to shine and demonstrate what’s to come in this upcoming NFL season.

With all that said, here are four offensive players who I think have flashed the most potential, thus far, in the NFL preseason.

Dameon Pierce | RB | HOU Texans

Preseason Statline: 5 carries, 49 yards

Dameon Pierce has been one of the biggest breakouts of the NFL preseason, thus far. He is a fourth-round draft pick and is looking to take over the Texans starting spot on a weak running back core of Marlon Mack and Rex Burkhead at the forefront.

Moreover, all training camp news has been on the positive end regarding his play. What’s even better news is that Pierce didn’t play in week two of the preseason. Although this may seem like a bad sign, it shows that the coaching staff doesn’t want Dameon to get injured and that he is the clear cut RB1 on the team.

George Pickens | WR | PIT Steelers

Preseason Statline: 3 receptions, 43 yards, 1 touchdown

George Pickens, aka NFL Youngboy, has taken over the NFL media. His prominent play on the field along with his antics outside of the field make him a perfect player to like. Training camp buzz has also indicated that he is a star. Many might say that none of this matters

Even his fellow teammate, Diontae Johnson, was surprised by Pickens play: “He’s a freak, that’s what he is. That’s a special talent, you can’t teach some of the things he does. I just be watching like, man, I be amazed at how he catches the ball sometimes. He’s young. He’s getting better on the daily.”

Gabriel Davis | WR | BUF Bills

Preseason Statline: 2 receptions, 47 yards, 1 touchdown

The Buffalo Bills are one of the most lethal offenses in the NFL and are looking to reach their Super Bowl aspirations in this upcoming season. Gabriel Davis was one of the key reasons for their impressive playoff run last year and many are claiming that he’s next up.

In only one possession with the starting offense Josh Allen are Gabriel Davis were able to line up two times, one of which being a deep touchdown bomb. This is just a smidgen of what’s to come and I won’t be surprised if Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis take the title of best wide receiver duo in the league by the end of next year.

Trey Lance | QB | SF 49ers

Preseason Statline: 4/5 Passing, 92 Passing Yards, 1 Passing TD

Trey Lance has been one of the most electric players in the NFL preseason. His ability to run the ball like no other and pass it at any distance makes him an elite player. In limited snaps he was able to demonstrate how his talent could translate on the NFL stage.

One of Lance’s five passes was a 76 yard deep touchdown to wide receiver, Danny Gray. His hype has now gone off the charts with him being one of the most betted on players to win the MVP award. Even ESPN Analyst, Louis Riddick, has joined the hype train by saying, “My bold prediction for this season is that the 49ers will represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. That’s how confident I am in this 49ers team and the development of Trey Lance.”

Here are the 4 guys who I have been most impressed with so far in the NFL preseason. Let me know in the comments which players you think wasn’t mentioned that I should have.
