Kicking off the trends

What do you get when top designers chose to implement and allow the rough and finalized versions of their work onto a site for purchase? The up and coming trends before they are considered so. When you can’t fly a trip straight to New York to see the latest seasons runway looks like Anna Wintour, Kim Kardashian, and even Justin Bieber than you’ll be pleased to hear that Moda Operandi has joined the ranks of other online boutiques that are bringing the runway to you.

Moda Operandi is the only online designer trunk show to allow you to preorder runway looks prior to availability elsewhere. The concept behind these trunk shows allows designers to see whether or not their latest looks will sell after walking off the runway and whether to continue the design. as well as offering clients a chance to have posession prior to one another. Allowing Boutiques such as Moda to showcase the work also gives designers a prehand look at projected supply and demand; saving them both cost and time. What makes Moda Operandi gain a higher standing is that they have on hand personal stylists who customize the website and outfits fit to the shoppers needs.

Though many of us including myself may not be able to afford these looks starting from a grand and up who is to say that we cannot recreate these looks. The mere fact that we are able to see the design concepts that create the trends prior to their finalization means that we have a firsthand look at what will be trending allowing us to personalize the trends to our budget before anyone perceives them as trends. Incorporating these trends into my own personal style on a budget is the appeal of the site for myself. I look forward to seeing what designers ranging from the ranks of Rochas, Oscar De La Renta, and Marc Jacobs amongst others will have to showcase and trying to revamp the looks for myself as well as for my readers.
