The Process: Litizenship Excellence

I recently submitted three poems to “A Lonely Riot”, a burgeoning literary magazine that was accepting new work. I admit, the selection was easy: I just went to Newpages.com and looked for the magazine that looked the most interesting and had poetry submissions. Why poetry? It’s what I had on hand — and most of my prose is too long to submit to a magazine (to BE a magazine, well, different story I’d say. But yeh.)
The poetry I picked was what I deemed my most elegant and thoughtful works over the past few years. Two of them were from last semester’s poetry tour, but one was a poem I wrote back in high school that was very well-received.

I’ve got high hopes for these works… I’ll know if they get in after 8 weeks or so.
