Short (a profile of 100 Word Story)

100 word story is just that — a journal full of exactly one hundred word pieces. Run by Grant Faulkner, Lynn Mundell, and Beret Olsen, an eclectic trio, the journal operates out of Berkeley, California, running six to eight issues annually. The idea of the one-hundred word story is interesting; a work is complete but unfinished, leaving a sense of wonderment, a realm of possibilities after the last word is typed or read. Each word of the short piece has weight, so the work could have the density of a Tolstoy novel, and in that spirit, I’ll keep this profile-
