It Took 57 Years to Write My First Book …

Since then, I’ve published 71 more.

Recently, I’ve written a few stories for Medium about my success at self-publishing novels on Amazon.

I do this not to brag but to inspire, since I know what it’s like to spend most of your life holding onto the dream of being a full-time writer. I also know what it’s like to make it a reality.

I want the same for you … my brothers and sisters, sitting at your intimidating computer screens, hoping your time and talent won’t be wasted.

For background, I wrote my first book at age 57. I’m 70 now and have published 71 novels. Oh, and I’ve earned over $1.5 million in royalties these past 13 years.

And now … how did I get here?

First of all, I began way back in 2011, essentially at the dawn of the self-publishing revolution. I published my first novel in October 2011, and for Christmas of that year, e-readers were the most popular gift. It was pretty good (lucky) timing.
