Introduced through song by the one and the only, Aretha Franklin is how President Obama started his afternoon in Detroit, Michigan. Aretha sang five or six songs and then came a President of a local Union and the Secretary of Labor, Hilda Solis. The President of that Labor Union and Ms. Solis spoke about the importance of Unions and the Labor Movement to a successful city, state, and country. Echoing Ms. Solis and the President’s words was an actual UAW (Union of Auto Workers) worker! It was a jaw-dropping, mind-renching moment when someone like one of us got the chance to introduce and bring up the President of the United States of America. Mr. President rallied all of his supporters from around the area (Detroit and Metro. Detroit) with his charming words and positive attitude. As he was getting the crowd fired up, the audience yelled back “FOUR MORE YEARS! FOUR MORE YEARS!” and “YES WE CAN! YES WE CAN!”

And what President Obama said to the group, and what the audience repeated back is true as can be: YES WE CAN. YES WE CAN ELECT ANOTHER PROGRESSIVE AND HELPFUL PRESIDENT INTO THE PRESIDENTIAL OFFICE. AND YES WE CAN HAVE PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA GOVERN OVER THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA FOR ANOTHER FOUR MORE YEARS!
