The Blue Wave is Heading to Texas

With midterms drawing near and candidates reaching for their last straw; this has been one of the most roaring congressional races in U.S. history. Texas is surging with early voters; almost exceeding the level of the previous presidential election. U.S. Representative Beto O’Rourke is facing one of the most grueling races against incumbent U.S. senator Ted Cruz. Campaigning in a myriad of cities and counties across Texas, each candidate has exceptional qualities promised for Texans. A recent poll conducted by The Texas Tribune, shows that Republican Ted Cruz leads Democrat Beto O’Rourke by a total of 6 points. This may be an early loss for the Democratic Party; planning to take back the majority in Congress. In hopes of ensuring a Democratic majority, a win in this seat is a great deal for Democrats and for generations yet to come.

Texas has long been a solid red state, but with voter turnout being the highest this year alone, it is slipping from Republicans and slowly getting into the hands of Democrats.
