The term “Eat the Rich”, coined by the French philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau, has become a popular saying by young Americans who witness billionaires acting, well, like billionaires. The anti-capitalist twitter memes that constantly flood one’s timeline may make the average user chuckle, but to young voters gearing up to vote for their next Democratic presidential candidate, it’s serious business.

It’s pretty simple: Young voters just hate billionaires. “Eat the Rich”, they say.
