When the government helps to create and defend a media Oligopoly, it fails to maintain the sovereignty of our liberty. It fails to do its one and only job constantly. This is only one of many actual problems plaguing our US of A these days. I hope this message gets to where it needs to go and has actionable value.

The American Mainstream Media has become an engine of leverage for the rich to pry us of our liberty and property. They claim they are the arbiters of all truth that matters to you. Then on the timely commercial break, they try to sell us Medicine, Bad TV shows and Life Alert. This is not a free press that the founders thought of.

“By a declaration of rights, I mean one which shall stipulate freedom of religion, freedom of the press, freedom of commerce against monopolies, trial by juries in all cases, no suspensions of the habeas corpus, no standing armies. These are fetters against doing evil which no honest government should decline.” Thomas Jefferson

Boy, would he be pissed at us! Just imagine zombie Tommy J as Punisher… yes.. That should be a movie plot.. 🤩/focus

It all started with The Communications Act of 1939 and the interpretation of what a Common Carrier is and does. The Deal was we allow the news stations to set up radio equipment and transmit radio and television programming through our public airwaves for profit. In turn, the media would dedicate a portion of its airtime to the news. The American people entrusted this power of radio technology to the media at large.

The market was diverse with local and national businesses all independent of each other. It was a time of growth and integration of radio technology. In 1949, the FCC instituted a “Fairness Doctrine” that mandated license holders of broadcast licenses both to present controversial issues of public importance and to do so in a manner that was — in the FCC’s view — honest, equitable, and balanced. The idea was if a news station had a story negative about say a War, they would have to have another story that is positive about that same war. We thought we could have cake and eat it too. Then Homelander Regan eliminated the policy in 1987. The rule that implemented the policy was removed from the Federal Register in August 2011.

Then in 1996, the Telecommunications act of 1996 deregulated the whole industry. It gave Cable News companies the ability to merge or buy newspapers and local TV stations. The Ideal was it would lower the requirement for smaller businesses and startups to enter the Telecommunications market. Mind you this was during the internet boom so I can’t fault people for thinking this was a great idea.

All this with a sprinkle of Roger Ailes and Karl Rove in the 80s and 90s and Boom... You have a multi-billion dollar industry that has total control of local and national media. Then you have companies like Boeing and Lockheed sponsoring ads about how good their bombs are. It’s dystopian when you look at it for what the media has become to regular Americans. Goebbels would be in awe at the integration and ability to send a message to so many so efficiently.

And today, it’s perfectly legal to propagandize the American public. The National Defense Authorization Act of 2013 amending the Smith-Mundt Act to have no limits on the use of propaganda. To include American citizens…The Smith-Mundt Act is the authorization for the defense department to engage in propaganda against foreign entities; which they called “Public Diplomacy”. #yikes

The act was a firewall between propaganda efforts abroad and local/national news. Now the state department can spend your taxpayer dollars trying to trick you into supporting legislation that doesn't have your best interests at heart.

This isn’t even the Alex Jones mind control human chimera shit yet… this is just everyday news and the hidden threat it poses in plain sight.

  • A common carrier in common law countries (corresponding to a public carrier in some civil law systems,[1] usually called simply a carrier)[2] is a person or company that transports goods or people for any person or company and is responsible for any possible loss of the goods during transport.[3] A common carrier offers its services to the general public under license or authority provided by a regulatory body, which has usually been granted “ministerial authority” by the legislation that created it. The regulatory body may create, interpret, and enforce its regulations upon the common carrier (subject to judicial review) with independence and finality as long as it acts within the bounds of the enabling legislation.

TV stations are common carrier because they provide the Free Press that is required to educate the general public and give them the information required to make thoughtful decisions at the ballot box. The news is a Public Service. The News should be unbiased and as truthful as possible regardless of content. Local “vet saved puppy” stories are entertainment. How our election is manipulated by the MSM contradicts their common carrier mandate.

The fake news is fake news

In my opinion, their actions defy the 9th amendment. Their interpretation gives overwhelming power to common carriers that are not specific to any one law. The MSM has the liberty to supersede the public common good. The ability to hold back information. The ability to twist a story to fit an agenda and still be considered news. The dehumanizing and the centralization of the news and its effects. Even local newspapers and TV are infected with this corruption.

The best part of this portion of the shit sandwich is We The People subsidized this. We gave them our scarce airwaves to educate and inform the people and they have leveraged that power against us and brought us into tyranny. They constantly bite the hand that feeds them and they expect us to grace them like heroes.

One effective solution to this is to give the MSM the freedom they preach. Stop the subsidies for those companies. Give them their free market. Charge more for Broadcasting Licenses for additional schooling of students to offset the damage caused by their hubris and bias. If they do not fulfill their mandate at all then their license needs to be taken from them. Its time for youtube to start labeling CNN as FAKE NEWS below the video. Anti-Trust action is also necessary. This is a national security issue as far as I’m concerned.

Another thing is to stop MSM and the parties from coordinating. It's obvious and it was old in 2016. Please stop Please

We also need to realize the power of ALT media. Try and give one a dollar. It helps! We need to help build local small businesses back so we have that stable diversity in the market. So that people are confident and competent in handling their affairs… They then have the liberty and security to deal with problems of the state effectively.

I see in the near future a crisis approaching that unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my country; corporations have been enthroned, an era of corruption in High Places will follow, and the Money Power of the Country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the People, until the wealth is aggregated in a few hands, and the Republic is destroyed.
Abraham Lincoln

Only by virtue of innocent or willful ignorance can we accept the justification and implementation of these communication laws. The intent of our liberty is not carried through with the current interpretation of the law. Americans need to realize this inequality and rise together to meet this challenge. This is something we all can get behind. Even in compromise

It is idealistic to think a free independent press would always have the public good in mind. Wouldn’t be nice if CNN didn’t suck? Imagine the real power if it was wielded by good people who did the work right. Those crazy but passionate types who do art where others do work. I digress…

Have a great day!
